At least we very recently got an actually fantastic Metroid 2 remake... but it wasn't official (read: doesn't make Nintendo money) so it doesn't do much for the longevity of the series.

Once i learned to use Auto-Battle for TT, i was able the get all the rewards for the last one, but people somehow can keep at it past 100k and get a crazy rank.

Care to elaborate? I have the patience for the two bonus point runs a day and maybe a few more but at this rate I'm probably not going to get everything. Do you just autobattle a hard mode set nonstop or something?

Vita really feels like its value directly relates to how much you value portable gaming, not necessarily its exclusive library. I don't care at all about portable gaming and 99% of Vita games are available elsewhere (and with better versions in many cases) so it's hard for me to care at all.

If you really like gaming on the go though I can see what it has being super appealing.

Maybe 15 minutes? Tried it on my friend's account.

Parachuted down, ran around for like 10 minutes without seeing any signs of life. Killed a guy, then got killed while trying to figure out how inventory management works while looting him.

I guess I can see how people would really latch on to a game like this but I didn't feel too inclined to play more just based on that first game.

I guess it's because it's because it wasn't like your standard jumpscare horror movie. It was more about the atmosphere and sense of dread or something.

This is what most good horror is, to be fair. Horror that relies on jumpscares tends to not have much going on in the department of actually being horrifying.

Watching this footage, I'd believe you if you said this man had never touched a video game in his life, but he's a games journalist paid to review games, and he's been doing it for darn near two decades. I'm definitely not saying that his opinion should be completely disregarded, but it seems a bit... questionable for someone so incompetent to speak with authority about something he fails to understand on a fundamental level.

Goad isn't really required. 2x fortify and 2x hone will give your team more reliable access to buffs. Generally, people put the hone on melee units and fortify on the ranged.

Reinhardt should carry fortify because he benefits the least from receiving that buff. I'd put hone on Roy and Lyn since they will be regular team members and you want both of them receiving hone at all times. Then, Cecilia can also take fortify

Planning on getting back into the game after a long while and I'm stumped on my new horse emblem team. Can't really figure out what the optimal set-up is for their C skills.

I've got: Brave Roy, Brave Lyn, Rein and Cecilia. (I'll usually be running the first three, and adding in Cecilia when I don't have to worry about a bonus unit)

How should I spread out Hone/Fortify cavalry? Rein, bizarre enough, has the best defenses of the team so I'd naturally want to put fortify on him, but then he'd be switching to Goad if Cecilia is able to tag along, and she'd have nobody to fortify her for maximum blade damage. At the same time, it feels like it'd be a waste not to have a Goad user in a full cavalry team and I don't have a way to put Goad on anybody else. D:

I feel really empty inside right now. My sister is getting three hours of sleep because she stayed up to watch the finale with me and she's pissed. XD

I definitely feel like there has to be another season planned. David Lynch may hate explanation, but he's not the sort to create a shitload of plotlines and do nothing with them. The amount of plot threads left hanging here is kind of staggering, actually.

All of that said, episode 17 was pretty darn good. I'm going to pretend 18 is the pilot of a 4th season. >_>

How the fuck did the Death Note even work on Watari in the first place, by the way? Like, first of all, Watari is supposed to be an alias to begin with. Second of all, he didn't have the last name. Like, if the note worked on Watari it'd make as much sense for it to work on L. Especially since L is actually his first name in the manga, "lol."

The whole thing just feels like something the writers want to hand-wave so they could have this plot of L going nuts.

Deathmatch is so much fun it makes me wonder why they bothered with nonsense like payloads and objectives in the first place. Can't beat classic FPS multiplayer gameplay no matter how hard you dress it up.

Deathmatch is a lot of fun but Overwatch absolutely isn't balanced around it. It's easily my favorite of the arcade modes but the actual game is still the best for OW. If I wanted super legit deathmatch I'd play Quake (which I do. >_>)

Played the Destiny 2 beta and it is indeed GORGEOUSLY optimized. Looks fantastic and runs beautifully. Can't say the beta made me at all interested in buying the game, though. =/

Edit: Whoops I read the question totally backwards. This is all saying why playing the PS2 one for newcomers is better IMO so hopefully it's still useful?

Biggest thing I'd say you miss by playing Kiwami over the original (aside from the hilariously awful dub, which is a neutral point at best) is the experience of playing the series from the beginning and seeing the gameplay and world evolve with each title.

If you want to start with Kiwami, you'd be better off starting with 0, since the additions to Kiwami are written to follow 0 as a sequel. You'd have the problem of playing the best game first, but even playing Kiwami first would make the first 5 titles feel dated anyway.

Looks like Travis Strikes Back might not be a true NMH game? I'll hold back my hype on this one until we see actual gameplay. Premise has me worried it'll just be a bunch of retro style games. (Which were fun for what they were in NMH but I definitely wouldn't buy a game that was just those.)

Cast is indeed far superior but the biggest thing for me personally was that the mysteries were actually engaging in DR2. I had every DR1 case except the second to last completely figured out by the time the trial started, it was a big let down in that department. DR2 surprised me in every case, and even the ones where I knew who did it going in had some big surprises in the how.
